About Us

Since January 27, 1975 we have been Montreal’s only multilingual community radio station.

As a non-profit organization that belongs to its members, our priority is, first and foremost, to improve the living conditions of our listeners.

We promote the free circulation of ideas by giving the mic to those without a voice people overlooked by mass media. We enrich the Montreal community by introducing listeners to the music, culture and ideas of people from here and elsewhere.

We fight against all forms of discrimination and are pioneers in diversity. We broadcast in eight languages: French, English, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Creole, Mandarin and Cantonese in the image of Montreal’s cultural mosaic and mix of ideas.

We are a space for musical and multicultural discovery, an outstanding experimental platform for creative individuals. We work with many community groups, festivals and public events to publicize Montrealers’ accomplishments and creative endeavours.

We are 350 passionate, determined volunteers tuned in to the world, which we describe and transform along with you. Every day, we proudly meet the challenge to express the uniqueness and universality of the communities that make up the social fabric of Montreal.

We are a true crossroads of community organizations, social issues and progressive ideas.

We are Radio Centre-ville, 102.3 FM!
